Recycling Stages

The IN VESSEL PROCESS COMBINES KITCHEN WASTE AND GARDEN WASTE TO PRODUCE A HIGHLY NUTRITIOUS COMPOST.

The composting process can take up to 12 weeks, over 4 stages and is carefully monitored to avoid damage through overheating and ensure nutrient retention.

AREA 1 RECEPTION

The co-mingled process starts here at the reception shed, the first of 4 stages. Combined food waste and garden waste is collected and delivered by truck to our reception shed. On average 30 truck loads per day enter the reception shed, off- loading around 150 tonnes of material.
